Lucid Photography has been operating in Brisbane since early 2005. Clare Smith is the Director and Principal Photographer.   

After many years in the corporate sector, Clare wanted to offer a unique service to clientele that combined her creative skills at photography, with over twenty years experience in marketing, sales and management.  

Lucid means ‘clear, bright, luminous and easily understood’ and so Lucid Photography was born…to reflect the vibrant style of images she loves to create, the genuine connection experienced with people and the ability to exceed a client’s expectations.

Since our inception, we have branched out to specialise in a diverse range of professional photographic services including:  

• Events (Corporate and Weddings)
• Portraiture (Family and Fashion)
• Commercial (Inc. head and team Shots)
• Real Estate (Residential and Commercial)

We use only professional Nikon DSLR cameras with an array of high quality, professional lenses selected for their fast speed and specific range to suit the shoot’s requirements.  We work with speedlight flash guns, studio lighting (when needed) and of course, make the most of natural light. And if your shoot requires more than one photographer, Lucid can offer the extra professionals you need.  

The majority of our shoots are performed ‘on location’ since we are blessed with an endless supply of fantastic destinations throughout Brisbane; lush gardens, golden beaches and urban landscapes (even the comfort of your own home!)
